This is a REAL Dragunov sniper rifle, unlike the PSL, ROMAK or other AK or RPK varients which are essentially AK operating systems with Dragunov-like stocks. The Dragunov uses a totally different operating system and should not be confused with those models. Calling the PSL a Dragonov is like calling a VW a Porshe.

Chinese/Norinco version of the Soviet Dragunov. Only 800 imported into the US before importation ban ended general availability. Only a few left in the original inventory.  These can be found on web auctions for $2500 or more. Rifles are NEW in BOX. Shipped in All Weather hard case.

This SVD is a highly accurate semi-automatic sniper rifle. Unlike the AK series, the SVD gas system does not have the large moving mass to upset accuracy. With match ammo the SVD is capable of sub moa or BETTER groups. A recent test using match ammo gave results of .5 moa @ 100 yards (excellent for a semi) with this rifle. The NDM-86 is the .308 version of the Soviet SVD. The NDM was manufactured in China as a direct copy of the Soviet SVD and is in service as the Type-79.

The NDM-86 is an excellent alternative to the M14/M21 system. Reliable, functional and possibly more accuracte -- with out the bedding issues associated with the M14 derived Match rifle.
