The Modular Accessory Rail System (MARS) is specifically designed to support 21st Century military operations in which visible and infrared illumination and aiming devices are to be employed in addition to state-of-the-art night vision systems. The MARS provides the needed flexibility and versatility to support the mounting of devices such as the AN/PEQ-2, AN/PEQ-4, CVL, White Light illumination devices as well as a host of others using the 1913 Picatinny rail mounting system. The MARS is a 3-piece system that features a top rail for mounting the day optic and application of the Universal Night Sight ® (UNS) from Optical Systems Technology and 2 side rails that may be moved or removed as necessary to accommodate the mission and ancillary devices. The MARS is offered in both long and short action models to include degreed models for the long action systems in which more range is needed. The MARS comes complete with mounting screws, a Torx ® wrench and instructions for mounting.

The MARS may be used with any Remington 700 based system currently fielded to the military and law enforcement such as the M24, 700P and LTR.
