A space age service and combat handgun introduced in 1983 and adopted by the Austrian Armed Forces in 1985 after severetests against four other pistols. Its 33 components are made either of hardened and machined steel or high resistance polymer. Steel slide and barrel combine with polymer receiverto reduce weight, yet polymer is stronger than steel. Locked breech, trigger cocking action. Three safeties; trigger safety, mechanical blocking firing pin safety and drop safety all automatically disengage shortly before firing as triggeris pulled. Safe action system is instantly ready. Natural grip angle and squared trigger guard. Functions with all commercial and military 9mm parabellum ammunition. Packed in lockable plastic box with magazine loader, cleaning rod, cleaning brush and instruction packet.
