700P in .338 Lapua features a composite stocks reinforced with Du Pont Kevlar and fiberglass. They'll stay dimensionally stable in any weather and under the worst tactical situations. The stock is laid up around an aircraft-grade aluminum bedding block that runs up the entire length of the receiver. It has a textured, black, non-reflective finish and comes with sling swivel studs.

NOTE: This is the NEW IMPROVED version. Not the older version (MLR) with barrel issues.

Great rifle! Remington has a hit with this one. I had concerns after hearing some "faulty barrel" stories, but I have no complaints with mine. I shot 4 rounds to sight it in at 200 yards and immediately went to dinging steel at 560 yards! The only pain I felt was the price of the ammo!

I found no undesireable issues with my 700P MLR! It shoots very well, and with the stock recoil pad it is painless to shoot 50 rounds in a day. No doubt, it is a big rifle - the pictures don't do it justice. The barrel is big, the stock is big - guess it has to be to handle the massive and accurate .338 Lapua Magnum cartridge. For the money, this is a lot of rifle!

I have had two of these rifle with faulty barrels, and I know of the people that have had the same problem, and remington arent interested in suppling me a rifle that isnt faulty, just give me the money back. Bad quality control.
